Counselor

Due to rapid expansion in all of our clinics, we are offering a $4,000 sign on bonus.
We are eager to be able to continue to serve clients in our service areas and need you to make this happen! This is a full-time, benefit eligible position scheduled Monday-Friday.

The counselor provides individual and group counseling to consumers with substance use disorders and their codependents with the goal of helping them to improve functioning and reduce substance use, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
They assess, treat, counsel, provide crisis intervention services, and refer consumers of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFICo Perform the twelve core functions as set down by the Missouri Credentialing Board:
screening, intake, orientation, assessment, education, referral, record keeping, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention and consultationo Participate in treatment meetings and staffingo Maintain an adequate caseload size to meeting productivity expectationso Complete required paper and electronic documentation within required timeframeso Update documentation as required by standardso Respond to general chart audits and contract compliance visitso Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during employmento Abide by ethical standards as set forth by the MCB and the agencyo Collect and process urine drug screenso Other duties as assigned o High School/GED requiredo Bachelor's degree preferred experience in lieu of education is accepted for the requirements with Bachelor's degree preferred At least two (2) years' experience preferred QUALIFICATION(S):

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
